It is an impressivedemonstration of the range of interests and intellectual vitality that characterize themembership of the Eric Voegelin Society. Your creativity and good fellowship are theprincipal reasons we have been able to sustain meetings that are now about to enter theirfifth decade. Even our host, the American Political Science Association, has begun toappreciate the contribution we make. Not only have we been elevated to Partner statusbut, for the first time, we have not been saddled with Sunday morning panels. Let’s hopeit’s a trend that continues! In that spirit of cordiality, I remind you to register on the APSAwebsite and indicate EVS as the Partner Association you wish to join. As you know we donot collect any fee, but we do solicit your voluntary contribution if you are in a position tomake one.
